Shaping the Future of Arbitration: Selcen Özcan Moderates Key Session at International Conference in Istanbul

On 27 February 2025, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) European Branch and the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) jointly hosted the international conference “The Application of Law in Turkish International Arbitration” at the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel. The event brought together leading experts to explore how international standards interact with Turkish law in arbitration practice.

Our Senior Associate, Selcen Özcan, played a central role as both a member of the main organising committee and moderator of the opening session. This dual role underscored not only her expertise but also our firm’s active contribution to shaping critical conversations in the arbitration field. The opening panel, which Ms Özcan moderated, explored applicable law and comparative perspectives, focusing on the interaction between Turkish law and international arbitration standards and the differences between Turkish and Swiss arbitration practice.
