Shaping Global Dialogue on Construction Claims: Cetinel Law Firm at ICC–FIDIC Seoul Conference 2024
On 17–18 October 2024, construction law leaders from around the world gathered in Seoul for the ICC–FIDIC International Construction Conference, one of the sector’s most influential events. Representing our firm, Founding Partner Yasemin Çetinel took the stage to chair Session 2: Variations vs. Claims, guiding a high-level discussion on one of the most critical and often complex issues in international construction contracts.
The session brought together experienced practitioners to examine the fine line between variations and claims, unpacking their distinctions and exploring real-world implications for projects. Under Ms. Çetinel’s moderation, panelists shared practical solutions drawn from their global experience, highlighting approaches that help prevent disputes, manage risk effectively, and keep projects on track.
For clients and industry stakeholders, the significance is clear: clear understanding and strategic handling of contract mechanisms can mean the difference between costly disputes and successful project delivery. By leading this dialogue at ICC–FIDIC Seoul, Ms Cetinel reaffirmed our role as a trusted advisor to international contractors, employers, and engineers with our commitment to advancing practical, solutions-oriented approaches in construction law.
